As we gear up for National Drive Electric Week, Evolve Houston is excited to announce that applications for the third round of our eMobility Microgrant Initiative will open on September 27. But first, we’re accepting nominations for Community Champions starting this Thursday, September 5th.

What is a Community Champion?

Community Champions (aka community reviewers) review grant applications from local, community-led projects focused on increasing access to electric mobility, reducing GHG emissions, and enhancing economic opportunities in historically underserved neighborhoods. As a Community Champion, you'll help ensure that the projects funded by Evolve Houston align with the needs and priorities of the communities these projects aim to serve.

How to Get Involved

Nominate yourself or someone else to be a Community Champion here. Nominations will be open throughout September, with interviews and selection taking place in October. Once selected, Community Reviewers will undergo onboarding in October and will participate in the review process in November. The role requires about 20 hours of commitment.
